PRACTICE LECTURE: 2:10 PM - 3:00 PM

*TEACHING VISION: 3:10 PM - 4:00 PM  ------- *FACULTY ONLY

Lecture 1: MOSFET Common Source Amplifier
In this lecture, the common source amplifier will be introduced. DC and AC Analysis will be performed on a sample circuit. As a result of this analysis, small-signal voltage gain, and input and output impedances will be determined. The results will be verified with a MULTISIM simulation. Frequency response and design aspects will be discussed shortly.

Lecture 2: Analysis and Characterization of Linear-Time Invariant Systems Using the Laplace Transform
Laplace transforms of the input and output of an LTI system are related through multiplication by the Laplace transform of the impulse response of the system. This can be shown mathematically by the formula, Y(s) = H(s)X(s),where X(s), Y(s), and H(s) are the Laplace transforms of the input,
output, and, impulse response of the system. H(s) can is also called Transfer Function of the System. H(s) is a rational for an LTI System characterized by linear constant coefficients. Region of convergence (ROC) of H(s) contain information on causality and stability of the system. These will be explained with examples of first order and second order systems in this lecture.
