Ozkan Team Develops Methods to Synthesize 2D Materials

Researchers at the University of California, Riverside have developed methods for synthesis of few atom thick transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) materials including molybdenum diselenide (MoSe2) and molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) with optical and electronic properties comparable to their exfoliated single-crystalline counterparts. The findings were published in the article, "Synthesis, characterization, and electronic structure of few-layer MoSe2 films," which was featured as a front cover of the journal Physica Status Solidi.
