Professor Ertem Tuncel receives NSF CAREER award
Assistant Professor Ertem Tuncel has received a National Science Foundation CAREER award for his work in communications research. According to the NSF web site this Faculty Early Career Development Program is the National Science Foundation's most prestigious award in support of the early career-development activities of those teacher-scholars who most effectively integrate research and education within the context of the mission of their organization. Such activities should build a firm foundation for a lifetime of integrated contributions to research and education. Dr. Tuncel’s project is titled “Low-delay communication in sensor networks via prediction- and transform-based distributed source coding”.
