A talk on “Parallel Computing for VLSI Design ”
 

Abstract:

This talk will cover power grid and thermal analysis using both multicore and GPU based parallel computing. VLSI design has significant potential for parallelization due to its dependence on linear algebra. The state of GPU based linear algebra will be discussed along with VLSI applications. And lastly a new implementation of GMRES, a sparse iterative solver, for the GPU will be covered.
